Privacy Policy
Polaris Office Corp. (hereinafter the “Company”) always makes its best efforts to protect the personal information of its users. This Privacy Policy describes what personal information is processed and how it is processed in connection with the POLARIS Office for BlackBerry and Polaris Viewer Plus for BlackBerry mobile apps (hereinafter the “Products”).
The Products are enterprise applications made available exclusively to authorized users of customer organizations that have contracted with BlackBerry for enterprise services. They are not offered directly to individual consumers and are not intended for use by children.
1. Information Processed in Connection with the Products
The following categories of information may be processed in connection with the Products. The processing environment and the entity responsible for a particular processing activity may differ depending on the function, as described below.
BlackBerry Dynamics activation and management data:
- Email address (User ID)
- Access key
- Device ID
The email address may be used as the User ID for BlackBerry Dynamics activation and management. The Device ID and other BlackBerry Dynamics management data are processed through the BlackBerry Dynamics SDK, BlackBerry infrastructure, and the customer’s BlackBerry UEM environment. The Company does not directly collect or store BlackBerry Dynamics activation credentials or management data on its own servers.
BlackBerry Analytics data (when enabled):
- Crash data
- Other diagnostic or analytics data
BlackBerry Analytics functionality may be included in the BlackBerry Dynamics SDK. Collection of BlackBerry Analytics data and use of the related analytics service occur only when the customer organization has obtained the applicable BlackBerry Analytics entitlement and the BlackBerry UEM administrator has assigned or enabled it for the relevant users or groups.
BlackBerry Dynamics runtime and support logs:
- BlackBerry Dynamics Runtime activity logs
- Technical diagnostic and troubleshooting information associated with the BlackBerry Dynamics Runtime
The BlackBerry Dynamics Runtime generates activity logs in connection with the operation of the BlackBerry Dynamics SDK. These logs are stored within the BlackBerry Dynamics secure container on the user’s device. The availability and level of detailed logging may depend on the customer’s BlackBerry UEM policies and configuration.
A user may choose the “Upload Logs” function to transmit BlackBerry Dynamics Runtime logs through BlackBerry Dynamics to BlackBerry for technical support and troubleshooting.
The Company does not receive or store the contents of BlackBerry Dynamics Runtime log files uploaded through this function on its own servers.
2. Purposes and Legal Bases
Personal data processed in connection with the Products may be processed only as necessary for the following purposes and, where applicable, on the following legal bases:
Contractual necessity:
- App activation and authentication
- Secure use of the Products through BlackBerry Dynamics
Legitimate interests:
- App security
- Service stability and diagnostics
- Prevention of unauthorized access
- Enterprise app management and troubleshooting
Consent or other applicable authorization:
- Optional BlackBerry Analytics data collection enabled by the customer, where consent or authorization is required under applicable law
Legal obligation:
- Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, and security obligations
3. BlackBerry Dynamics Processing
3.1 Activation and enterprise management
The Products use the BlackBerry Dynamics SDK for app activation, security, and enterprise management. During activation, an enterprise user may be asked to enter an email address and an access key provided by the customer’s IT administrator. The activation process is handled through BlackBerry infrastructure.
The customer may manage user accounts, devices, app activation, security policies, entitlements, logging settings, and related settings through BlackBerry UEM. The Company does not operate or manage the customer’s BlackBerry UEM environment.
3.2 BlackBerry Dynamics Runtime logging and user-initiated log uploads
The processing activity of the BlackBerry Dynamics Runtime is logged by the Runtime itself, and the activity log is written to the BlackBerry Dynamics secure container on the device.
Where available, the Products provide a user-initiated log upload function for technical support and troubleshooting. When the user selects “Upload Logs,” the applicable BlackBerry Dynamics Runtime log files are transmitted through BlackBerry Dynamics to BlackBerry. The Company does not receive or store the contents of the uploaded log files on its own servers.
Processing of uploaded logs by BlackBerry is subject to the applicable BlackBerry service, the customer’s BlackBerry configuration, and the applicable agreement with BlackBerry.
4. Data Retention
The Company does not store BlackBerry Dynamics activation credentials, management data, or the contents of BlackBerry Dynamics Runtime log files uploaded through the user-initiated log upload function on its own servers.
BlackBerry Dynamics activation, management, analytics, diagnostic, and Runtime log information may be processed through the BlackBerry Dynamics environment, BlackBerry infrastructure, and the customer’s BlackBerry UEM environment, as applicable. Retention within those environments is governed by the customer’s BlackBerry configuration, the applicable BlackBerry service, and the applicable agreements with BlackBerry.
5. International Data Transfers
Personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the country where the user is located, depending on the BlackBerry technical infrastructure, customer configuration, support arrangements, and other operational environments applicable to the Products. Where the Company is responsible for an international transfer under applicable law, appropriate safeguards will be applied as required by law.
6. Third-Party Sharing & Service Providers
We do not sell personal data.
BlackBerry:
Certain information may be processed through the BlackBerry Dynamics SDK, BlackBerry infrastructure, and the customer’s BlackBerry UEM environment for app activation, security, enterprise management, analytics, diagnostics, and technical support purposes.

The Company does not receive or store the contents of those uploaded log files on its own servers. BlackBerry’s processing is subject to the applicable BlackBerry service, customer configuration, and applicable agreement with BlackBerry.
